BEGIN TOUGH DECISION MUSIC:

BEGIN TOUGH DECISION MUSIC:

Centaurus didn’t know what to do at first. He was ordered to shatter one of three crystals to decide who crossed and who died. He knew that he had to make the choice, or else his mission would never be complete. As he prepared to smash the white crystal, which would’ve been the choice of the assassination of his wind-wielding friend, he stopped. He realized his mission was no longer just about him finding another of his kind. It was about him learning to adjust to his circumstances. It was about making noble sacrifices.

Alzahad: Centaurus made a sacrifice, but it wasn’t the life of Areolys. Rather, he sacrificed his decision to remain calm. I remember the moment vividly. He turned away from the crystals and gave the griffins the evil eye. He shook his finger at them, then he stomped his feet, then he went medieval on their...er, you know.

Areolys: I was proud of Centaurus that moment. He had conquered adversity with a character trait that we almost destroyed in him. He turned his addictive struggle into something that saved my life. Of course, he would’ve had to anyway since I returned for the sequel. How weird that would’ve been for a dead bird to just be alive again, right? Yeah, Centaurus was my hero that day.
